Have you got a scintillating experience booked with the Bill Harrop’s “Original” Balloon Safaris team and need to know what to bring along? Here’s your quick and simple guide to everything you could possibly need for your hot air balloon journey
What to wear for hot air ballooning
You’re about to float up in style- so you need to get the perfect outfit sorted for that selfie, right? Just be sure to give a little thought to the practicalities, too. You’ll need flat and comfortable shoes, and we suggest pants for the ladies too- it’s a little undignified trying to climb out of the balloon basket in a skirt. If it’s winter when you fly, don’t worry about bundling up unduly- it’s actually slightly warmer in the air then on the ground in winter. You may want a hat if you’re tall [or sporting a chrome dome] regardless of the season, however, as the burner may feel a little warm on your head otherwise. Opt for layers so you can take them on and off to ensure you’re perfectly comfortable throughout the trip. Lastly, if you wear glasses or sunglasses, bring your case along as you may want to pop them off on the landing in case of a jolt or bump.
What else should I bring?
Your sense of adventure! Here at Bill Harrop’s “Original” Balloon Safaris, we do the rest. A scrumptious feast will be awaiting you on return alongside the bubbly, and there’s toasty hot coffee or tea waiting for you in the morning too. A great camera is a necessity, so you can capture those perfect shots to remember the moment by. You may want to brush up on how to add contacts to your phone, too, as you’re sure to have a few extra friends at the end of the morning. Lastly, add a jot of humour to the bag, and get ready for the flight of a lifetime.
